5 Steps to Having Vibrant and Youthful Skin

5 Steps to Having Vibrant and Youthful Skin

We all want healthy, vibrant skin so we can wake up every day feeling confident and pretty. Unfortunately, our skin is exposed to chemicals, sunlight and heavy makeup, but we can rejuvenate it with a few simple steps.

Skincare can often be neglected, but it’s a crucial part of our beauty routine. It’s cheap and simple to make your skin glow! To help you feel more confident and pretty, we’ve put together some suggestions that can help your skin look more youthful.

Regulatory Use Face Creams

We all know that moisturising our face will reduce dryness and smooth wrinkles. But do you know how to use your cream properly? And what creams to use? We recommend using creams with no harmful chemicals that will take care of your face rather than damage it further.

Skincare professionals advise us to use our face cream twice a day. Your morning face cream should contain SPF as that will protect you from the sun. Then at night apply a moisturiser without SPF after you exfoliate.

Drink Plenty of Water

Water is an effective way to make your skin look younger! The benefit of drinking water is that it keeps your skin hydrated, making it glow. Water evaporates from your skin so it’s essential to drink more fluids.

Drinking water prevents premature aging, improves skin tone, and reduces puffiness. You should be drinking around 2 litres of water a day. Carry around a reusable bottle that will help you remember to drink.

Get Your Beauty Sleep

Always get 8 hours of sleep every night. Staying up late or restless sleeping will make your skin look tired and stressed. At night-time, our skin repairs itself from the stresses of the day, and without much sleep, your skin won’t recover.

To increase your sleep, try not to look at a screen before bed, as the bright blue light can strain your eyes and will make you restless. An eye mask is also a good way to relax, and wear earplugs to reduce noise.

Protect Your Skin from Sun

If your moisturiser doesn’t contain SPF, use mineral-based sunscreen every day, even if it’s not sunny. Sun ages your skin dramatically, especially if you’re constantly burning or excessively tanning yourself.

Apply the sunscreen before you do your makeup as it needs direct contact with your skin. Protect yourself with a hat on sunny days, and a thin shawl to cover your arms. Avoid the sun if it’s particularly hot outside.

Reduce Your Sugar Intake

The negative side of sugar is that it can damage your health and the look of your skin. Lots of processed food contains hidden sugars. So, a good way to reduce your intake is to opt for homemade, organic food.

You can see if sugar is damaging your skin by checking if it’s shiny, there’s discolouration or excessive number of spots have begun to appear. So, next time you reach for chocolate maybe consider a healthier choice like an apple.
