Adjust Your Routine

While you might want to stick to your usual routine, it’s critical to make a few small adjustments depending on where you go. Every place is different, so your skin and hair will behave differently in each place.

This one is important to remember as not only do you want to make sure you look great for those holiday photos, but you also want to make sure that all of the hard work that you put into your day-to-day beauty regimen doesn’t ruin.

Bottoms Up

One of the most important things you can do for your beauty regimen is to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. If you’re traveling by plane, the air is quite dry at high altitudes, which can lead to a tired and dull looking complexion. So, take a water bottle with you and keep topping it up to ensure that your skin and hair stay hydrated.

Pack a Rollerball

A fast and easy way of perking up your peepers is to pack a refreshing eye rollerball, which you can whip out of your handbag and apply when you’re feeling tired or groggy. Then presto! An instant travel pick-me-up. You can also use cold teaspoons to help reduce puffiness if you forget a rollerball.

Forget Your Straighteners

Leave your hair straighteners at home so that you minimize any heat damage to your hair. Don’t forget that hair needs a good SPF, too, so pack a travel bottle of SPF spray to keep your locks in tip-top condition.

You can also use the heat in your favor. When relaxing on the beach, apply a hair mask to your locks, tie in a top knot and leave it to soak. The heat from the sun should help the mask penetrate the follicles and leave it feeling deeply nourished and conditioned by the time you wash it out.

Know Your Climates

If you’ve booked a vacation to a tropical paradise such as Thailand, it’s worth knowing that the climate can often be humid, which can make your hair do lots of crazy things. So, pack some anti-frizz serum and a super light moisturizer to avoid clogging your pores as well as some fun outfits for any full moon parties you happen to attend!

But if you head somewhere like Monte Carlo, where the climate is relatively dry, you will need to rethink your approach.

Monte Carlo is full of super glamorous restaurants, casinos and events, so stay on top of your beauty regimen by getting a blow dry, packing a rich moisturizer and some of your best evening dresses.

Whether you visit for the European Poker Tour, one of the biggest global tours, or you want to experience a James Bond-style roll of the dice, teaming a great dress with super polished hair and makeup will make you feel and look incredible.

Avoid Makeup

Okay, okay, hear us out! While you might like to apply a full face all the time when you’re heading out on vacation, sometimes it’s best to let your skin breathe. While you’re on the plane, for instance, you could apply a hydrating face mask, instead of letting makeup dry your skin out even further. Try to give your face as many makeup-free days as possible to avoid breaking out.
